London Corporate String Quartet on the ‘Naticia’
London Corporate String Quartet on the ‘Naticia’ – Last night the Manor House String Quartet provided music for a retirement party held aboard the boat ‘Naticia’ as it cruised up the river Thames in central London. Our group is an ideal entertainment option for all types of corporate events, due to the vast range of music we can offer. This opens up the possibility for themed background music – everything from sets of 70s or 80s rock and pop classics to film music, jazz and lounge or even elegant classical (you can hear samples of these on the jukebox of our Playlist page). The option of a duo can also be ideal in smaller business events where music is only required to accompany a more formal dinner function.
In this particular event, the gentleman who was retiring was the company director and most of the guests were his work colleagues who enjoyed the cruise starting at the Embankment and passing many of the most famous landmarks in London along the way.
We played a diverse selection of music to reflect the personal favourites of the guest of honour as well as musical choices designed to suit all tastes, including plenty of modern songs for string quartet, which were a real hit with the guests. It was an unusual experience to play aboard a boat as there was a fair amount of rocking and movement (as well as our viola player feeling a little queasy!).
We had a lot of interaction with guests, many of whom had travelled from Germany to be present and were delighted by the live music we provided.
